Next to the church is the Kilmorie stone cross, said to have come from a graveyard at former St Marys Chapel, Kilmorie, to the south of Kirkcolm, and then moved to the parish church and later to Corsewall House. The graveyard contains mostly 19th century gravestones, with a 20th century sub-Lorimer style figure sculpture. War Memorial enclosure advanced outwards from S wall, to E of gateway.
Church built in 1824 as a T-plan church, with a single storey vestry adjoined to the east, to replace the previous church which was pulled down in 1821. The interior was remodelled and re-orientated in 1964
